Novus' latest voter barometer gets the Social Democrats 32 percent of the voter support.

This is a statistically significant increase and 2.7 percentage points more than the previous survey.

- You need to go back to January 2015 to find the same voter support for the Social Democrats as today, says Torbjörn Sjöström, CEO of Novus.

Hints at first-time voters

There are tendencies in the survey that the Social Democrats win many first-time voters.

- I think Magdalena Andersson plays a big role in that.

In recent speeches, she has addressed directly to children and young people's concerns about the war.

We see that and it has an effect, says Lisa Nåbo, chairman of SSU, the Swedish Social Democratic Youth Union.

The increase in the Social Democrats is the only statistically significant change.

Overall, the Moderates are the second largest party in this poll and the largest party for young voters, those between 18 and 29 years old.

Matilda Ekeblad, chairman of the Moderate youth union MUF, believes that the war in Ukraine to some extent explains the Moderates' figures.

- We see that people gather at the big parties in crises.

But then the voters are smart.

What the Social Democrats say no to will then become politics in the Riksdag and you can see that it is the Moderates who are driving Swedish politics forward right now, she says.

Both the Green Party and the Liberals end up under the Riksdag block in this survey with 3.2 and 2.1 percent, respectively.
