The criminal court of Saint-Brieuc (Côtes-d'Armor) recognized this Wednesday a 50-year-old man guilty of contempt and insults.

He was sentenced to four months in prison with a suspended probation.

The victim was an agent of a Pôle emploi agency in Lamballe (Côtes-d'Armor) to whom the defendant had verbally attacked on several occasions.

The 50-year-old also had to respond to ill-intentioned letters sent to the same Pôle emploi center in 2020 as well as threats aimed at his neighbor.

He had mentioned the fact of puncturing the tires of the latter's car.

Already sentenced to a suspended sentence in the past for comparable acts, the Breton was diagnosed by specialists as not dangerous but suffering from "chronic delusional disorders".

He is now prohibited from contacting his victims or approaching the Pôle Emploi agency.
