Putin: The special operation in Ukraine is going according to plan and in full accordance with the schedule

Yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with members of the Russian Security Council.

"In Ukraine, nationalists and foreign mercenaries are hiding behind civilians, using them as human shields," Putin said during the meeting.

Putin said that "there are foreign mercenaries in Ukraine, including from the Middle East."

And he added: "The special operation in Ukraine is going according to plan and in full accordance with the schedule."

He pointed out that "the Russians and the Ukrainians are one people, and he will never change his mind about that."

Putin announced that he had "signed a decree conferring the title Hero of Russia to Officer Nurmagomedov Gadzhimagomedov, who died during the special military operation in Ukraine."

"Our military men have a complete understanding of the correctness of following the legality of their actions during the special operation in Ukraine, even after the wounds they received," he added.

Putin noted that "the Russian armed forces have provided corridors for civilians in all places of clashes in Ukraine."

He pointed out that "nationalists will not allow them to leave."

Putin referred to the crimes of Ukrainian nationalists by saying that they "place heavy weapons in residential areas."

"More than 7 million rubles will be paid to family members of soldiers who died in the operation in Ukraine, and wounded soldiers in Ukraine will receive 3 million rubles," he said.
