By 2035, the scientific and technological research and development strength will double again compared with 2025; the overall strength of meteorological science and technology will reach the world's advanced level in the same period, and major breakthroughs have been achieved in the three key scientific and technological fields of severe weather forecasting, earth system numerical models, and major observation equipment, and enter the world. Advanced ranks; China has become a meteorological science and technology innovation center with important international influence; meteorological basic research and applied basic research have made breakthroughs, and the original innovation ability has been comprehensively enhanced; academic level and influence have entered the world's advanced ranks.

  The "Planning" proposes to implement four major meteorological science and technology innovation projects, namely, the meteorological big data science project, the domestic supercomputing technology application ability improvement project, the earth system model project and the localization project of observation equipment.
