Kiruna municipality and MSB will make an inventory of how the usability of Kiruna's shelter is.

It is a work that is going on throughout the country and which has become particularly relevant in view of the troubled world situation.

But in Kiruna there is also a city relocation where large parts of the city will be closed down and thus also many shelters.

Kiruna has MSB's eyes on it

According to Anders Karlsson, Kiruna has MSB's eyes on it.

- They have a completely different attitude to shelters now and I think it is difficult to get a demolition permit for shelters if you can not show a plan for how they should be replaced, he says.

Urban relocation offers both challenges and benefits.

- Here we have the opportunity to do something contemporary and good because we start on virgin land, says Anders Karlsson.
