Guo Weimin responded that it is precisely because of the correct epidemic prevention policy that China has taken the lead in restoring economic growth, ensuring the basic stability of the global industrial chain and supply chain.
Last year, China's foreign trade scale and international market share reached record highs, injecting strong impetus into global economic and trade recovery.
He talked about a set of data on China's anti-epidemic aid to foreign countries. China has provided a large number of masks, protective clothing, ventilators, testing equipment and other anti-epidemic materials to 150 countries and 13 international organizations, and sent 37 teams to 34 countries. The medical expert group has provided more than 2.1 billion doses of vaccines to more than 120 countries and international organizations, helping other countries to improve their epidemic prevention and emergency response capabilities.
Guo Weimin emphasized that China's assistance is also helping the international community to overcome the epidemic as soon as possible and restore normal order, so as to better promote exchanges between China and the international community.
China will continue to increase its anti-epidemic assistance to developing countries and make China's contribution to building a community of human health.
Guo Weimin introduced that over the past two years, CPPCC members from various sectors have put forward opinions and suggestions around relevant policy research and discussion.
The members believed that the results of epidemic prevention and control proved that China's epidemic prevention policy conforms to China's national conditions and scientific laws, and that China's epidemic prevention measures are relatively low-cost and effective.
"We must pay close attention to and judge the development of the epidemic situation at home and abroad, strengthen scientific prevention and control, implement precise policies, and strive to control the epidemic at a higher level and at a lower social cost, so as to ensure the sustainable, healthy and stable development of the economy and society."
