During the appeal trial, the representative of the public prosecutor's office on Wednesday demanded the death penalty for Christian Kenga Kenga, ten years for Jacques Mugabo and release for Paul Mwilambwe.

At the end of the interrogations during this appeal trial, it was finally understood that the fugitive general John Numbi is indeed the originator, said Colonel Longwango.

And to charge Daniel Mukalay wa Mateso, the planner who directly cooperated with Christian Kenga Kenga in the execution of this macabre project.

Jacques Mugabo and Doudou Ilunga, they confessed to having killed on the orders of the hierarchy, noted the auditor general. 

The release requested for Paul Mwilambwe

As for Paul Mwilambwe, responsible for the security of the installations of what was then the general inspectorate of the national police, he was exonerated and his release was requested.

Based on the statements of the defendants, Colonel Longwango explained that Mwilambwe had been abducted and sequestered to prevent him from testifying to what he had seen on the evening of June 1, 2010, the date of the assassination of the two human rights defenders. of man. 

The commander of the Simba battalion, Christian Kenga Kenga for his part, has refused to appear since the start of the trial.
