The French government has announced that it will abolish the obligation to show vaccination certificates at restaurants, etc. from 14th this month, saying that the infection situation of the new coronavirus is settling down.

In January, the number of people infected with the new coronavirus per day exceeded 300,000 one after another in France, but in the latter half of last month, the average number of people infected per week reached the 50,000 level. The number of people who are declining, becoming more severe and receiving treatment in the intensive care unit has also dropped to nearly one-third of their peak.

Under these circumstances, Prime Minister Castex announced on the 3rd that he will abolish the obligation to show vaccination certificates at restaurants and museums from the 14th of this month.

Also, except for transportation such as trains and planes, it will not be necessary to wear a mask indoors.

On the other hand, hospitals and facilities for the elderly still need to show a vaccination certificate or a negative test test.

In Europe, even in Scandinavian Sweden and Denmark, the obligation to show an immunity passport when using restaurants etc. was abolished last month.
