You can vote in advance of the presidential election for two days starting tomorrow (4th).

Voters can vote anywhere in the country, regardless of their address, as long as they have an ID, and even those who are confirmed or quarantined can vote in advance.

The method will be explained in detail by reporter Koh Ji-hyun.

<Reporter> This

is an advance voting booth at Seoul Station in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

Early voting will be held from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for two days tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. Voters can vote at any of the 3,562 polling places nationwide as long as they bring their ID, such as a resident registration card, driver's license, or student ID with date of birth and photo.

If you are a resident of Yongsan-gu, you can go to the local polling place, and if you are from another area, go to an outside polling place and stand in line.

You must wear a mask.

Hand disinfection and temperature measurement are compulsory.

However, only those who wish to wear plastic gloves can wear them.

If there is nothing wrong here, you can present your ID and receive identification, then go to the voting booth after taking the ballot paper and return envelope.

After you have marked your ballot at the voting booth, fold the ballot in half in the return envelope, seal it, go to the ballot box, and put the return envelope in the ballot box to end the early voting.

On March 9th, this ballot paper has already been printed, but because the advance ballot paper is printed right on the spot, 'Resign' is displayed in the ballot box for No. 4 Ahn Cheol-soo and No. 9 Kim Dong-yeon.

Voters who are confirmed and quarantined for Corona can also vote in advance.

On the 5th, the second day of early voting, if you arrive at any advance polling place between 5 pm and 6 pm after receiving a text message from the quarantine authorities, you can vote at a temporary voting booth.

[Kim Dong-hyun / Seoul Metropolitan Election Commission Public Relations Manager: Those who have a fever or have any of these symptoms will vote at a separate temporary voting booth.]

The advance turnout is 26.06% for the 2017 19th presidential election and 26.69% for the 2020 21st general election. It was.

This time, both the ruling and opposition parties are encouraging early voting, and the election is expected to increase the turnout as tight elections are predicted.
