Trump: China will invade Taiwan soon

Former US President Donald Trump said today, Wednesday, that he believes that China will invade Taiwan, indicating that he expects this to happen "sooner rather than later."

In response to a question during an interview with "Fox Business" about why he thinks the invasion will happen sooner or later, Trump said that the reason is "because they (China) see how stupid the US administration is... they see our leaders are incompetent, and of course they will... This is their time."

He also criticized the way the administration of President Joe Biden dealt with the withdrawal from Afghanistan, saying that "Chinese President Xi Jinping was taking cues from how the United States dealt with the situation... He looks at what happened in Afghanistan, and the way we withdrew as a surrender."

He added, "We left behind $85 billion and left American citizens there and they are still trying to get out. And he sees it," noting that "this is his chance to do what he wants to do and what China has been wanting to do for decades."
