The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department revealed that the Civil Family Matters Court has received more than 100 requests for a civil marriage contract since its inception, submitted by people from 35 countries, explaining that the court is concerned with hearing cases related to personal status issues for non-Muslims, and all of its cases and procedures are bilingual to include Both languages, Arabic and English, in order to facilitate foreign communities’ understanding of court procedures and enhance judicial transparency, in addition to providing a modern judicial umbrella for foreigners to resolve disputes in a flexible manner, in line with international best practices.

In detail, yesterday, the department organized a remote media forum, under the title "Annual Report of the Judicial Department 2021.. Numbers and Achievements", in the presence of the Director of the Department of Strategic Planning and Institutional Development in the Department, Abdullah Saif Zahran, and Head of the Planning and Performance Department, Awad Al-Humairi, and Head of the Department of Management Risks and Business Sustainability, Hazaa Al-Harthy, who revealed that a significant achievement was achieved in the percentage of cases adjudicating 98.63% during the past year, noting that the number of cases presented increased by 29.4% compared to 2020. She pointed out that this percentage reflects the success of Abu Dhabi courts Maintaining a resolution of cases in excess of 98%.

Statistical indicators indicated that the number of cases that were resolved last year amounted to 166,899, with a separation rate of 98.63%, and the number of completed marriage contracts transactions amounted to 6,443 transactions, an increase of 21%, and completed wills transactions of non-Muslims 2007 transactions, an increase of 16%.

The department indicated that its strategic plan for 2021-2022 includes 32 strategic indicators, and four strategic priorities: supporting judicial specialization and ensuring the quality of judicial rulings and the work of the Public Prosecution, ensuring sustainability and business continuity in light of looking ahead, and ensuring the happiness of customers through smart and innovative justice and judicial services.

The annual report of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department showed that the most important projects that were completed last year included the "Single Window for Litigation", which allows judges of the Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra courts to consider and issue judgments in incoming cases without being restricted to geographical location, and the "Personal Status Court for Non-Muslims" project. And the “Interactive Registry” project, which relies on artificial intelligence to determine the type of lawsuit and the competent court.

The list of projects completed by the department during 2021 included the "Digital Authentication for Documents Approval" project, which allows documents issued by the department's systems to be approved in a digital way.
