A historic decision was made when Ukraine, a country in conflict, receives munitions from Sweden: 5,000 armored vehicles, 5,000 helmets, 5,000 body shields and 135,000 field rations.

It came after Ukraine on several occasions presented to Sweden what munitions it needed.

The first list of wishes was sent to the government in early February.

SVT has taken part in an updated list since then where it appears that the historical contribution satisfies a small part of Ukraine's wishes.

18 points long

The 18-point list is topped by 2,000 NLAW robots, better known as Robot 57, which have a longer range and greater accuracy than an armored shot.

In addition, Ukraine has requested, among other things, air defense robots, radar systems, weapons to shoot down drones, various types of ammunition and ambulances.

KD's member of the Defense Committee, Mikael Oscarsson, will raise the issue of additional munitions to Ukraine when the members of the Committee and Minister of Defense Peter Hultqvist (S) meet tomorrow.

- I intend to raise the question of whether there is more to spare to help Ukraine.

There are significantly more things on this list and it has been said that we can do more.

This is a situation where the clock is ticking and they need more help, he says.

"We should give what Ukraine wants"

Allan Widman (L), also a member of the Defense Committee, also wants to see further support for Ukraine.

- We should give what Ukraine wants and we can give them.

Even Swedish weapons are currently doing the very best good in Ukraine, he says and adds:

- Some Ukraine can acquire themselves and that is why we also decided to give half a billion to their defense fund.

It gives them great freedom of action to buy what they want and my picture is that Ukraine has functioning deliveries in many different places.

The center of the train

Center leader Annie Lööf also opened in connection with Wednesday's party leader meeting to send additional Swedish weapons to Ukraine.

M: s Ulf Kristersson stated for his part that he does not make any demands that Sweden should send more now.

- Other countries will contribute further.

Sweden can also be prepared to do that, but now it is also about strengthening the Swedish defense, he said.

Magdalena Andersson was also speechless about more arms deliveries to Ukraine.

- It remains to be seen, it is all about how the situation develops.
