“As for the supply of everything to the Russian market, from components and kits for car assembly to finished cars, this is a very complex, multi-tasking story that is affected by everything.

Logistics, the possibility or impossibility of payment, an understanding of the volume, how much to sell, how much ... Even above this is the political will of countries, states or some associations like the EU, ”added Kadakov.

In his opinion, if a decision is made at the level of some country not to supply engineering products to Russia, then all companies that are “stationed” in this country will obey this decision.

“And neither components, nor car kits for assembly, nor finished cars will be supplied to us,” the RT interlocutor concluded.

Earlier it became known that the Swedish companies Volvo, Scania and Ericsson announced the suspension of business in Russia.

In addition, Hyundai suspends production at its plant in St. Petersburg from March 1 to March 5 due to logistical disruptions in the supply of auto components. 

It is also reported that the American auto concern General Motors announced the suspension of car exports to Russia.
