They didn't get away for long.

Disappeared overnight from Monday to Sunday after an act of vandalism at the Plaisance-du-Touch zoo, the two wallabies returned to their homes on Tuesday evening.

Since Monday morning, the members of the African Safari, but also the firefighters and gendarmes of the west of Toulouse, were looking for these two marsupials, which nocturnal visitors had released.

The dark-robed one was found in the morning, hidden within the grounds of the park.

More reckless, Bennett's other wallaby had ventured into a residential area of the town and was found at the end of the afternoon in the garden of a private individual.

Recognizable by his white coat, he was suddenly baptized "ghost" after his two-day run.

For its part, the zoo has lodged a complaint with the gendarmerie and an investigation is underway to find those who have entered the grounds of the park.
