The Pentagon: 80% of the Russian mobilization entered Ukraine... and this is what it is doing now

The Pentagon revealed today, Tuesday, that 80% of the forces that Russia has amassed on the border are inside Ukraine.

There were reports that Russia had amassed more than 130,000 troops on the border with Ukraine before the start of its large-scale offensive on February 24.

A senior Pentagon official said that Russian forces have so far fired more than 400 short and medium-range cruise missiles.

He revealed that the Russian forces had not made progress towards Kyiv in the last 24 hours due to the resistance and the lack of logistical supplies.

He pointed out that "Russia uses more than 75 fighters in the invasion, and we have indications that it lost a number of them, as well as the Ukrainians lost a number of their fighters."

However, the senior official pointed out that "the Russians are evaluating the progress they have made and will change their plans in order to overcome the obstacles facing them, and they still have great capabilities."

The official added that the Defense Ministry could not confirm the Russians' use of cluster weapons.

There were reports that Moscow used cluster bombs in three populated areas.

Human Rights Watch said it had documented a cluster bomb attack outside a hospital in eastern Ukraine in recent days.

Locals also reported the use of munitions in Kharkiv and the village of Kyanka near the northern city of Chernihiv, although there is no independent confirmation.
