Russian Defense Minister: Our military operations will continue until their goals are achieved

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu confirmed that the Russian Armed Forces group in Ukraine will continue to conduct a special military operation there until its goals are achieved.

"Protecting Russia from a military threat from the West is the main task of the special operation in Ukraine," Shoigu said in his remarks on Tuesday.

Shoigu stressed that the Russian army does not occupy Ukrainian territory, but rather takes all measures to preserve the lives and safety of civilians, stressing that the strikes during the operation only target military facilities and are carried out using only high-precision weapons.

Shoigu pointed out that the Ukrainian side uses civilians as human shields during the clashes and hostilities.
