In early August, the Ansari Church burned down.

The heavy fire completely destroyed the church where there was also a preschool.

Since then, there have been talks about the future of the congregation.

But at a parish meeting on Sunday, the parish unanimously decided that they want to remain on the current site in Vättersnäs.

And while the design of a future new building continues, it will be a temporary solution.

- It feels like a liberation.

even though it is now considered a temporary solution, it can last as long as needed, says the parish chairman Lennart Bergström to SVT Nyheter Jönköping.

Former station building

There are modules of just over 500 square meters that will now accommodate the parish's activities.

The premises have previously functioned as a temporary station building in Växjö while the new one was being built.

In October, the premises will be in place.

The cause of the fire is still not clear.
