According to the Ukrainian negotiator, a second discussion session will take place.
We do not yet know the date, "
soon
" was content to say the Russian negotiator.
This Monday, February 28, these first talks, organized in the middle of the war, took place on the border of Ukraine and Belarus.
"
The two parties have established a list of priorities and themes
," said a member of the Ukrainian delegation without giving further details.
Ukraine's demands are "
an immediate ceasefire and the withdrawal of (Russian) troops from Ukrainian territory
".
Russia's demands were detailed on Monday during a telephone conversation between French President Emmanuel Macron and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
The latter demanded the recognition of Crimea as Russian territory.
Vladimir Putin has also called for
the “demilitarization
” and also what he calls the “
denazification
” of the Ukrainian government, and the guarantee of a “
neutral status
” for Ukraine.
Three Russian demands prior to any settlement of the conflict, according to the Kremlin's account of the discussion between the Russian and French leaders.
