According to Member of Parliament Hanna Gunnarsson (V), the Left Party has chosen not to support the proposal because they are against arms exports and want to follow the practice that says that Sweden should not export weapons to active war zones.

The Center Party's leader Annie Lööf also believes that it is time to send weapons to Ukraine.

- Now is the time to stand on Ukraine's side.

The Christian Democrats' leader Ebba Busch and the Green Party's spokesman Per Bolund (MP) also stated before the vote that their parties support the proposal.

This means that Sweden will send 5,000 armored shots, 5,000 safety vests, 5,000 helmets and 135,000 field rations to Ukraine.
