From this Monday, the mask will no longer be compulsory in places subject to the vaccination pass.

An obligation lifted almost a month after that of wearing a mask outside.

As a result, you will no longer need to wear it only in specific places.

Europe 1 takes stock of the new regulations.

DECRYPTION

That's it: from this Monday, you can enter without a mask in all the places where the vaccination pass is imposed.

The end of the obligation to wear a mask in these specific places comes almost a month after that of wearing it outside.

And for the total lifting, the Minister of Health Olivier Véran expects a marked improvement in the health situation.

In any case, it is a second step that will change some habits in places subject to the vaccination pass.

Walk around without wearing a mask

Before unmasking yourself, you will still have to continue to show your credentials by presenting the QR code of your pass.

Once validated, you can stroll through the restaurants, bars and cafes with your face uncovered.

For example, to go to the toilet or pay at the counter, there will no longer be a need to be masked.

You will also see the smiles of the servers reappear since the rule also applies to employees of the establishments concerned, such as in cinemas.

In dark rooms, there is no longer any need to wait to be seated in your armchair to eat your popcorn.

From the entrance and throughout the cinema, the mask is no longer mandatory.

This is also the case in museums, theatres, libraries or fairs.

Good news also for indoor athletes

This second act of lifting the wearing of masks is also good news for athletes who can leave them in the locker room.

On the other hand, it is always necessary to be masked in public transport, planes or trains, and in all other closed places where the vaccination pass is not compulsory.
