The participation of CSKA Moscow, Kazan and Zenit Saint-Petersburg in the Euroleague is suspended, as well as that of Kuban Krasnodar in the Eurocup, specifies the Euroleague Commercial Asset in a press release.
“If the situation does not develop in a favorable manner, all regular season matches against Russian teams will be canceled in order to reconfigure the league standings,” adds the ECA.
"The Euroleague and its clubs reiterate their strong commitment to peace, against any act of violence or war, and will continue to use their voice to promote respect, inclusion and diversity, values that are at the heart of organization and its teams," the statement said.
In another press release, the Euroleague announced the freezing of its partnership with the Russian bank VTB Bank.
