In a video clip posted on the Internet, he said: "Last night was harsh, new shootings and new shelling of residential neighborhoods and civilian infrastructure. There is nothing that the occupier today does not see as a legitimate target for him."

The

Ukrainian president stressed that "Vasylkiv, Kiev, Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkiv and many other cities live in conditions that we have not seen on our lands since the Second World War."

In his address, he addressed the people of Belarus, whose territory Russia uses as a rear base in its invasion of Ukraine.

"From your land, our children are being killed," he said.

He added, "How will you look in the eyes of your children? How will you look in the eyes of each other? In the eyes of your neighbors? Your neighbors are us."
