"In collaboration with the Polish railways, Deutsche Bahn is preparing to put on the rails additional wagons and special trains", if Ukrainian refugees, fleeing the war, arrive en masse, specified the national public company while Berlin has said it is ready to welcome Ukrainians.
Germany is allowing all Ukrainian refugees from Poland to travel free of charge on long-distance trains from Sunday, the state-owned national railway company Deutsche Bahn announced on Sunday.
"In cooperation with the Polish railways, Deutsche Bahn is preparing to put on the rails (...) additional carriages and special trains", if Ukrainian refugees, fleeing the war, arrive en masse, added the Bahn in a statement as Berlin said it was ready to welcome Ukrainians and to massively help the countries bordering Ukraine, in particular Poland.

"Quick and simple help"
On Sunday, Austria announced to do the same.
Austrian Transport Minister Leonore Gewessler tweeted that she had reached an agreement with the state-owned company OeBB so that Ukrainians fleeing their country could use the company's trains without tickets.
“In times we live in, it is crucial to provide quick and simple help. That is exactly what we do,” she added.
Ukrainians who are fleeing from war can use @unsereoebb trains in #Austria without a ticket.
In times like this, it is our responsibility to help fast and unbuerocratically.
And that is exactly what we are doing.
