The competition consists of four races, in nature, with distances of between 30 and 200 kilometers, where both men and women participate.

This year is the fifth time that the competitions are held in Luleå, which is due to the good access to nature.

Broadcast live to millions of TV viewers 

The interest in the competitions is very great in the skating-crazy Netherlands, and NOS which is the largest news organization in the country that broadcasts all the Grand Prix races to several million TV viewers worldwide.
