Rescue of a young man who broke his shoulder after falling into a mountainous area

Civil Defense men in Ras Al Khaimah rescued a 28-year-old Arab youth who had fallen from a rugged place in the mountains of Shamal City in Ras Al Khaimah while he was with a number of his friends there for the purpose of camping.

The Director of the Civil Defense Department in Ras Al Khaimah, Brigadier General Muhammad Abdullah Al Zaabi, said that the Operations Room received a report at 6:43 pm yesterday stating that an Arab youth had been injured as a result of his fall from a mountain in the Shamal area in a very rugged place.

He pointed out that a specialized team of civil defense men was immediately directed from the administration center to the place, where it was found that the young man was on a camping trip with a number of his friends in a very rugged and difficult-to-reach location, adding that the rescue team members had to walk on foot and endanger their safety. In order to reach the location of the injured young man, who was found to have a broken shoulder.

He pointed out that he was given first aid on the spot, and then he was transferred to the National Ambulance, which in turn took him to the hospital to receive the necessary medical care and appropriate treatment.

Al-Zaabi appealed to mountaineers to stay away from rugged and steep places and hard-to-reach sites for their own safety, especially with the availability of suitable areas for camping or practicing mountain sports, taking into account caution and adherence to all precautionary measures and measures that preserve their lives and safety from any accidents that may occur. are subjected to it.
