Written by Wang Jiexian and Zhou Xiaohang

Chen Zhebin, Secretary General of Beijing Taiwan-funded Enterprise Association, resolutely went to Beijing to develop his career in 1991, and it has been 31 years now.

Witnessing the rapid economic development of the mainland, Chen Zhebin said with emotion in an interview with a reporter from China News Agency that for the majority of Taiwan compatriots, the development at the same frequency as the mainland will naturally have a broader world.

Chen Zhebin introduced that in the 1990s, the difficulty of seeing a doctor in Beijing was prominent. After a preliminary investigation, with confidence in the mainland market, he cooperated with Beijing Tongren Hospital in 1991 and invested in the establishment of an international eye disease diagnosis and treatment institution.

Beyond the general conditions of the hospital at that time, the wards invested by Chen Zhebin were equipped with accompanying beds, TVs, bathrooms and telephones, and provided nursing services.

The new concept and the hardware and software conditions of diagnosis and treatment provided a certain degree of inspiration for the medical development in mainland China at that time.

In addition, cross-strait cooperation in the field of ophthalmology has formed common progress, and Chen Zhebin also participated in it.

"Looking at the world, Tongren Hospital ranks among the best in the number of surgeries and encounters a relatively large number of intractable diseases. We bring advanced medical technology to Beijing, and then bring ophthalmologists from Taiwan to study and practice. Therefore, there are quite a number of myopic laser ophthalmologists in Taiwan. At the same time, Taiwan's cataract diagnosis and treatment technology is better, and we also invite Taiwanese doctors to impart their experience to mainland doctors." Chen Zhebin said.

In response to the improvement and changes of mainland laws and regulations, Chen Zhebin has been involved in more segments of the mainland medical industry for more than 30 years.

"The changes in the mainland in the past few decades are very amazing, which is obvious to all." Chen Zhebin observed that with the economic take-off, the mainland has synchronized with the international in all aspects. Eye trauma treatment, myopia surgery and other fields even lead other countries.

Chen Zhebin believes that Taiwan compatriots have shared the development dividends of the mainland in different ways, and the mainland has deep friendship with Taiwan compatriots and Taiwan businessmen.

Policy measures such as "31", "26" and "Helping Taiwanese Enterprises' 11"" allow Taiwan compatriots to share the opportunities for development in the mainland, and receive equal treatment in the mainland for study, entrepreneurship, employment and life, and Taiwan enterprises have more opportunities Rooted on the mainland.

Looking back on his experience in the mainland, Chen Zhebin said that Taiwanese businessmen will inevitably encounter some thorny problems in their operations, and Taiwanese offices at all levels in the mainland will help coordinate and solve them within the scope permitted by law.

"I remember that when I solved the obstacles one by one and got the business license in the mainland for the first time, I burst into tears. I was so happy, I felt like I was at home."

Chen Zhebin told reporters that he hoped that more Taiwanese young people would look to the mainland: there are many opportunities in the mainland, and there is a great need for Taiwanese talents.

He explained that many Taiwanese young people have experience of living and studying overseas, and mainland enterprises have strong demand for talents in the process of going global. Moving with the trend will create a good development prospect.
