Ukraine's ex-president threatens Putin: 'You will face Hell'

Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has called on Russian President Vladimir Putin's forces to leave his country.

Poroshenko appeared, wearing a flak jacket, among other Ukrainian soldiers, as he said that the Russian forces are about two kilometers from where he stood in the center of the capital, Kiev, stressing that Putin and the Russian army will face "hell" when they enter the capital.

He called on the Western powers to supply his country with more military equipment, which enabled Ukraine to inflict heavy losses on the ranks of the Russian army, as he described it.

"We need armored vests, helmets, and anti-tank weapons, and we need to increase our defensive capabilities to stop the aggressor in Europe," he said, speaking to Britain's Sky.

He continued: "Putin said he would receive Russian soldiers with flowers in Ukraine, and Molotov cocktails would be prepared. These are the flowers for Putin, and certainly this is our land, this is our country, this is our people, and Putin has nothing to do here. Get out of Ukraine, Mr. Putin."

It is noteworthy that Poroshenko held the presidency of Ukraine for one term from 2014 until he lost the elections to current President Volodymyr Zelensky in 2019.
