On the 25th, the second day of the invasion of Ukraine, the Russian army continued its advance by simultaneously attacking the Ukraine in all directions, including the east, west, north, south, and west with missiles.

Some Russian units have advanced as far as the outskirts of the capital, Kiev, and engaged the Ukrainian forces who were stopping them.

In the eastern Donbas region, pro-Russian rebels were supported by Russian firepower and advanced through government defense lines.

The Russian and Ukrainian governments pushed for talks to negotiate a plan to neutralize Ukraine, but it is known that they failed because differences of opinion over the meeting place were not resolved.

As Russian forces continued their advance to seize Kiev, gunfire was heard in the city this afternoon and violent gunshots were heard west of the city, eyewitnesses told Reuters.

Russian Defense Ministry spokeswoman Igor Konashenkov said at a briefing on the same day that "Russian forces carried out an operation that successfully infiltrated an airborne unit into the Khostmel Airport outside Kiev. There was no loss of Russian troops."

He also explained that "in the operation that day, 211 Ukrainian military infrastructures lost their functions," and "17 command posts and communications posts, 39 radar bases, and 19 anti-aircraft missiles were destroyed."

On the other hand, according to Reuters, a senior U.S. defense official told the media on the same day that the situation in Ukraine was "evaluated that Ukraine's resistance is greater than Russia expected".

"In the course of the battle, 2,800 Russian soldiers were killed, and 80 Russian tanks, 516 armored vehicles, 10 fighters and 7 helicopters were also destroyed," Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Malyar said on the same day.
