The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is proceeding with confirmation after receiving information that a cargo ship related to a Japanese shipping company was bombarded in the Black Sea in southern Ukraine.
According to people familiar with the matter, the bombardment was the Panama-registered cargo ship "Namura Queen", which is owned by a subsidiary of the shipping company Panama in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has confirmed the details of the damage, as one out of about 20 Filipino crew members is believed to be slightly injured, as Japanese companies are not involved in the operation and management of the ship.
