Guided by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and sponsored by the China Cultural Relics Newspaper and the Chinese Archaeological Society, the selection of the top ten new archaeological discoveries in the country in 2021 was officially released today.

In 2021, there will be more than 1,700 approved archaeological excavations across the country, and 32 of the 32 candidates will be voluntarily declared by the excavation-qualified units. After review by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the Selection Activities Office will vote and recommend 20 items to enter the final evaluation.
