It was early Wednesday morning that the Swedish Transport Administration announced a stop on the routes Stockholm – Västerås / Fagersta / Hallsberg / Gothenburg and Sala – Eskilstuna / Linköping.

This is due to a plow train derailed and a broken train in Dingtuna.

The Swedish Transport Administration's forecast for when the error would have been rectified was set for 4 pm on Saturday 26 February, but has now been able to be brought forward.

After the locomotive was salvaged during the night until Friday, the forecast looks brighter.

Still single track operation

- Since the train has been towed, it is still single-track operation, but the work has flowed well and therefore we can set an earlier forecast, says Moa Jansson at the Swedish Transport Administration.

In the meantime, the Swedish Transport Administration refers passengers to the train companies for information on whether the departure is affected.
