The four-month-old girl who died in Troyes (Aube) this Saturday did not have a high blood alcohol level, contrary to information relayed by certain media.

The causes of the baby's death were still unknown on Wednesday, said the public prosecutor, quoted by

L'Est Eclair

.

The infant's father and his girlfriend were initially taken into custody.

Contradictory analyzes

They had been the subject of insults from people who thought the couple were abusive.

The first examination of the corpse in Troyes had evoked ingestion of alcohol and suspicions of shaken baby syndrome.

Additional analyzes carried out in Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin), however, had refuted these hypotheses.

The authors of the first report then reconsidered their conclusions of the day before.

The father of the family and his partner were finally fully cleared.

Additional examinations were requested.

The baby's body had been discovered by rescuers and the police called to the father's home.
