Protests against Russia's invasion of Ukraine are taking place around the world.

Hundreds of people, including Ukrainians from abroad, gathered in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, Germany, and protested against the war, APTN, an American media outlet, reported.

Participants wrote phrases such as 'Stop War in Ukraine' and 'Putin Get Your Hands Off Ukraine' on placards shaped like the Ukrainian flag to criticize Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russia's invasion.

A Ukrainian who took part in the protest said, "I didn't expect this result. I was sleeping and my sister from Ukraine called and woke me up. It was a nightmare because missiles were flying all over Ukraine," he said. "We need European and global support." I did.

At the Republique Square in Paris, France, about 1,000 people protested, waving flags of Ukraine, Georgia, and the European Union, along with flags of Ukraine, which were invaded by Russia in 2008.

In addition, more than 100 supporters of Ukraine gathered in front of the Russian embassy in Washington, DC, and rallies supporting Ukraine were held in various parts of Europe including Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Greece, Montenegro, Norway and Sweden, as well as Japan and Mexico.
