From Monday, vehicle traffic will be shut down on Carlavägen / Vasavägen between Stensborgsgatan and Sveavägen in Eskilstuna.
This is when the work of setting up a new collision protection at the railway viaduct begins.
According to Eskilstuna municipality, the protection must prevent vehicles from entering the bridge.
The road will be closed for seven weeks and even if no vehicle traffic can pass, it should be possible to get past the site by bike or on foot.
Already today, there is a temporary protection in place - a so-called farmer catcher.
