Kuwait Embassy in Baghdad protesting against an Iraqi cleric who demanded the annexation of Kuwait!

Today, Friday, the Kuwaiti embassy in Baghdad issued a statement protesting the tweet of the politician and cleric Iyad Jamal Al-Din, who considered Kuwait an "Iraqi judiciary."

A statement by the embassy said, "We express our condemnation and categorical rejection of the abusive tweets issued by the Iraqi cleric called Iyad Jamal Al-Din, in which he insulted, on his social media, the State of Kuwait, its symbols, leadership and people, and carried unacceptable, reprehensible and rejected expressions."

He added, "While the embassy expresses its deep dissatisfaction with such actions aimed at undermining the brotherly relations that bind the two brotherly countries, it calls on the concerned Iraqi authorities to curb these dissonant voices by taking legal measures against them," according to "Russia Today."

The cleric, Iyad Jamal Al-Din, wrote in his blog, "I suggest to the governor of Basra (after we retrieve Kuwait) to the province of Basra that he appoint the poet Dr. Suad Al-Sabah as (in charge of the shrine) the district of Kuwait."
