Wednesday morning, an 11-year-old boy was attacked by two stray dogs in the town of Hirel, between Saint-Malo and Mont-Saint-Michel, reports

One of the dogs, an American Bully, first grabbed his calf before knocking him down and biting his ear, face and legs.
A neighbor who witnessed the scene was also bitten on the shoulder while trying to scare the animal away.
Complaint filed by parents
Transported to the emergency room in Saint-Malo, the boy was stitched up on his cheek and ear before being operated on for two hours to clean and treat all his wounds.
“A transplant will be necessary to repair his ear”, confides his mother in the columns of the daily newspaper.
After the accident, the owners of the two dogs contacted the boy's parents to apologize and express their grief.
The latter, however, filed a complaint with the gendarmerie of Cancale.
