It is not in Russia's interest to invade Ukraine (Sahra Wagenknecht).

With the logic of the Cold War, good and bad, black and white, you won't get any further here (Ralf Stegner).

We must refrain from anything that leads to this war dynamic being further driven (Rolf Mützenich).

US intelligence says the Russians are going to invade, I don't think so (Gregor Gysi).

Tales of lies by the US Secret Service (Sevim Dagdelen).

Some actually enjoy talking about war (Ralf Stegner).

All sides are involved in the escalation (Sahra Wagenknecht).

I'm hoping for something from further talks (Rolf Mützenich).

- All statements of the past few days, all wrong, unnecessary, blue-eyed.

The reference points for such are easily multiplied.

Now many are amazed.

War?

Putin as a "war criminal" (Rolf Mützenich).

We didn't think so.

Talk of retreat, attack ordered

But why didn't we think so?

Why did we “wake up in another world” (Annalena Baerbock)?

Because we dreamed before?

It cannot be said that Vladimir Putin camouflaged his sentiments and intentions.

He had long explained how he saw things with "Making Russia Great Again" and with Ukraine.

He has repeatedly stated that he does not grant her any right to exist.

Did you think these were just historically imaginative texts?

During the press conference with Chancellor Scholz (SPD), Putin unchallengedly repeated the lie about the genocide taking place against Russians in Ukraine.

At the same time he spoke of retreat and ordered an attack.

And yet he was still considered a man with whom it was useful to discuss.

Because discussions, misleadingly called "negotiations," make a difference, or because you have nothing but them?

Processes according to the regime's taste

The liar was suspected to the end that he might be willing to give in after all.

He didn't just lie, he also acted.

It has long been known that Russian citizens who do not suit the regime are murdered and poisoned at home and abroad: Baburova, Yushenkov, Markelov, Politkovskaya, Nemtsov, Litvinenko, Estemirova, Navalny;

the list is even longer.

Torture is practiced in Russian prisons.

Legal processes only exist according to the gusto of the regime.

But still, many of them were genuinely concerned and in good faith: protestations that one had to put oneself in the shoes of the Russians, specifically: Putin, he felt threatened, Russians in other countries did not enjoy the same rights, Russia had once been promised that NATO would not accept them it bordering state, our history forbid,

to supply the Ukrainians with defensive weapons and so on.

Don't think in terms of friend and foe, always try to understand the other side.

Now we learn that fear, or let's say pessimism, would have been good advice after all.
