US intelligence offers Biden an unprecedented "cyber attack" against Russia

US intelligence agencies have offered President Joe Biden options for a "large-scale cyber attack" against Russia, NBC News reported, citing its sources.

"President Joe Biden has been presented with a range of US options for large-scale cyber attacks aimed at undermining Russia's ability to continue its military operations in Ukraine," the channel's website said in a statement.

According to the channel, experts from the intelligence and army departments are showing the "use of American electronic weapons" on an unprecedented scale.

Among the proposed options are disabling internet connections across Russia, blackouts, and intervening to disrupt railways "to prevent Russia from supplying its forces".

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced, earlier today, Thursday, the launch of a special military operation in Donbass, southeast of Ukraine, pointing out that Russia does not plan to occupy Ukrainian lands.

Putin stressed that Russia, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, is now one of the most powerful countries in the world;

No one should doubt that any attack against it will result in the defeat of the aggressor.

The Russian president warned that Moscow would respond, immediately, to any attempt from abroad to obstruct the military operation;

And that response will lead to results never encountered in the history of those who might be tempted to interfere in current events.

In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Russian armed forces do not carry out any missile, air or artillery attacks on the cities of Ukraine;

Noting that the military infrastructure, air defense facilities, military airports and aviation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are being targeted with precision weapons.

The Russian defense indicated that its forces had disrupted the military infrastructure of the Ukrainian air bases, in addition to silencing the Ukrainian air defenses.

She added that the Ukrainian border guards did not show any resistance to the Russian units, adding that nothing threatened the civilian population.
