The United Nations Security Council will hold an urgent meeting to discuss the response to the growing tensions in Ukraine from noon on the 24th of Japan time.

Russia's President Vladimir Putin unilaterally approves the independence of pro-Russian-dominated areas in eastern Ukraine and is poised to send military troops in the name of "peacekeeping", the United Nations on the 23rd. At the General Assembly, representatives of each country made a series of statements accusing them of saying, "Russia's movement violates the sovereignty of UN member states."

After that, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Kreva, who attended the UN General Assembly, requested that the Security Council be held, and it was decided that an emergency meeting would be held from 9:30 pm on the 23rd and 11:30 am Japan time.

An urgent meeting was held at the Security Council on the 21st, two days ago, but while Western countries such as the United States blamed Russia, Russia strongly opposed it, and it became a fierce blame exchange, which will be held afterwards. It is expected that both sides will be in sharp conflict at the meeting.
