- What I thought was terribly hard was not to feel needed.

It was at least cracking for me, says Ingela Olson.

She grew up in Torhamn in Blekinge and has for several years worked in Stockholm as a choir singer, including for Håkan Hellström.

When the corona pandemic came, she, like several other cultural workers, was hit hard.

- There are a lot of people who have been hit very hard and simply not had any jobs, I am one of them, says Ingela Olson.

Became depressed

She suffered from depression and was quickly prescribed antidepressant medication.

To manage her finances and manage her mind, she moved home to her parents in Torhamn.

- Right now I rent out my apartment and it feels good.

I have this as a base, leave here and take a job when they arrive, she says.

The industry is recovering

Despite the fact that the restrictions have now been lifted, the cultural industry must recover.

- It's not just like pressing an on / off button, off went fast but on is not quite as easy, says Ingela Olson.
