Police officers and a firefighter were attacked on Tuesday evening in Pau, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques during an intervention for a suicide attempt.

The man, a septuagenarian who was trying to end his life, did not hesitate to throw boiling water on three law enforcement officers and bite the finger of a member of the relief.

Another policeman was also beaten, report France Bleu and

Sud Ouest.

One of the officers suffered first and second degree burns.

Two days of ITT were delivered to him.

The aggressor was placed in an adapted structure because he would suffer from psychological disorders.

An investigation has been opened.

Several complaints should be filed.
