At Expo 2020 Dubai, visitors to the Dubai Millennium Theater experienced an immersive musical experience from the Caribbean, presented by artists from Saint Lucia, which celebrated its National Day, the day before yesterday, at the International Exhibition.

The evening was marked by songs and performances on the rhythms of Soca and Daenerys Signet from Saint Lucia, who sang about love, homeland and various issues of concern to young people.

The ceremony showed video clips on theater screens of the most prominent tourist places in this Caribbean island.

The ceremony varied between performances by a group of show dancers, and the enthusiastic musical connections that the theater audience responded to with applause.

During the evening, a representative of the Saint Lucia pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai announced the allocation of a prize for two people to visit Saint Lucia, on an all-expenses-paid trip.

It is noteworthy that the Saint Lucia Pavilion is located in the Opportunity Area of "Expo 2020 Dubai", and displays the amazing diversity and natural wealth of the Caribbean island.

It houses a collection of artifacts, 3D displays, sculptures, traditional artwork, paintings and books, which convey to the visitor a sense of Saint Lucia's past.

The Saint Lucia Pavilion also organized a fashion show in the pavilion to the rhythm and songs of the popular soca music, presented by the sound coordinator Hyper D.

The fashion show was part of the Saint Lucia National Day celebrations at Expo 2020 Dubai, which also coincided with the country's 43rd Independence Day.

Closing the show, fashion designer Marshall Celestine said: “This collection of costumes tells the story of the resilience of the people of Saint Lucia.”
