  According to reports, the Fukuoka District Meteorological Observatory said that from around 5:00 a.m. local time on the 24th, the "volcanic fretting" of underground hot water and magmatic activity has expanded.

From 9:00 a.m., the magnitude of the earthquake further intensified, and the volcanic activity continued to change.

  The Fukuoka District Meteorological Observatory issued a warning around the crater of Mount Aso at about 9:45 a.m., raising the eruption alert level from the original level 2 to level 3 (the highest level 5), which prohibits people from entering the mountain.

  The Fukuoka District Meteorological Observatory also called on the public to beware of large-scale rock blasts and pyroclastic flows within a range of about 2 kilometers around the first crater of Zhongyue; downwind areas should pay attention to volcanic ash, small rock blasts, and volcanic gases.

  Aso volcano erupted in October 2021, accompanied by the eruption of pyroclastic flow, and the alert level at that time was also raised to level 3.
