Friday's weather: gradual return of the sun and drop in temperatures

A gradual improvement in the weather is expected in France on Friday, according to Météo-France forecasts.

In the morning, the sky will be heavy from the Pyrenees to the Grand Est and Rhône-Alpes with a few light showers, in the form of snow around 1,000 m on the Pyrenees and between 500 and 700 m on the other massifs.

Elsewhere, the weather will be variable with clearer spells going towards the Mediterranean.

Some residual showers will linger on the relief of the East in the afternoon

In the afternoon, a few residual showers will linger on the eastern relief but the sky will become brighter as the hours go by.

Elsewhere, the weather will be sunny.

On the South-East, tramontane and mistral will respectively blow up to 70 and 90 km/h in gusts.

On the northern shores of the country, the westerly wind will still be noticeable in the morning with peaks around 70 km/h.

Frequent morning frosts in the center and east of the country

In terms of temperatures, morning frosts between 0 and -3 degrees will be frequent in the center and east of the country.

Elsewhere, the lows will range from 1 to 8 degrees from the interior towards the coasts, up to 9 to 11 degrees near the Mediterranean.

In the afternoon, it will be 7 to 11 degrees from the northeast to the center-east of the country, 10 to 14 degrees elsewhere, up to 15 to 18 degrees on the Mediterranean shores.
