“Ukraine has initiated an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council in connection with the appeal of the Russian occupation administrations in Donetsk and Luhansk to Russia with a request for military support,” he wrote on his Twitter.

Earlier, the heads of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to assist in repelling aggression from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
