“For two days of early voting at the republican referendum, the turnout of citizens was 14.53%,” the CEC said in a Telegram channel.

It is noted that in the Brest region, 14.98% of the total number of citizens included in the lists of referendum participants received ballots, in Vitebsk - 14.55%, Gomel - 17.86%, Grodno - 10.89%, Minsk - 14.88% , Mogilev - 15.1%, in Minsk - 12.8%.

A referendum on amending the Constitution of Belarus is scheduled for February 27 in the republic.

The wording of the question submitted to the referendum is as follows: “Do you accept amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus?”

As President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko noted, the updated Constitution is designed to strengthen statehood.
