The man who assaulted his ex-girlfriend on Monday in Nice was released from police custody

• According to the National Federation of Victims of Femicide says that "no protective measure has been granted" to Joanna, "stabbed and strangled [Monday] in Nice" when her ex-companion had just spent six hours in police custody .

• The police custody was "lifted on Sunday evening for lack of sufficient conclusive evidence not allowing, at this stage, the exercise of prosecution", according to the prosecutor.

• The ex-husband of the victim should be indicted this Wednesday for "attempted murder by spouse".
