The European Union imposed sanctions against 351 State Duma deputies who voted for the recognition of the DPR and LPR.

Also, sanctions were imposed against 27 individuals and legal entities of Russia and against the Russian public debt.

As a result, Russia was limited access to the capital markets and financial markets of the EU.

At the same time, the European Union banned European businesses from any economic transactions with the LPR and DPR.

Earlier, the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, noted that the EU would impose sanctions against 351 State Duma deputies and 27 individuals and legal entities after Russia's decision to recognize the independence of the LPR and DPR.
