“The appeal to Moscow for help from the so-called DPR and LPR means another extremely dangerous step against the sovereignty of Ukraine, which will endanger thousands of lives,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
He also added that the European Union is actively urging Russia to refrain from further actions leading to escalation.

Earlier, the heads of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to assist in repelling aggression from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
