“The Russian investigation recorded hundreds of such facts, qualifying as the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare.
On the basis of documented facts, more than 400 criminal cases have been initiated and are being investigated about the events in the territory of Donbass,” the statement says.
It is noted that in the course of the investigation, specific persons have already been identified - those who give criminal orders, and those who carry them out.
“Currently, the investigation has established the involvement in the commission of these crimes of 85 persons from among the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other law enforcement agencies of Ukraine,” the Investigative Committee added.
Earlier, the Russian Investigative Committee opened a case after the death and injury of civilians in Donbass during the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
